The things I revised were trimming the shot of the blurry phone to make it not as long, and I added fade transitions to different scenes. I also inserted a fade edit to the music to make the scenes flow together easier.

Peer review

 Due to the reviews I got I had to lower my music volume because it was kind of loud, and i did notice that, I also had to fade in the music in the beginning because it just comes to a dramatic end, I then had to apply a cross fade between shots and give less time on the blurry phone.

This is my first draft of my final cut.

Editing week one!

Right here I am transferring my videos to my laptop so that I can start extracting them to the program that I will be using to make parts of my film.

The program I will be using for now is called wonder share, and right now I am working in easy mode because that helps me gather everything together and let the computer decide what is best for the movie and when I want to make my own changes I can go in there and change it my self.

Film progress week one

This is a very close shot of a phone and this is how I think I would like to start the movie. This phone is supposed to wake the security guard up and this is what begins the whole movie. You will hopefully see this phone come up more in the movie as a way to change scenes!.

This is the prison court yard and this is a long shot of it. This court yard is where a lot of the films action will be taking place and it will show most of the characters that you will meet during the movie. The hard thing about using this shot is going to be how I use all the space the shot has to offer.

Film Progress Week Two

This shot of Chris is a medium shot of him and I did this to try and capture the security's whole body language and his whole mood of working at the prison. This scene is supposed to show how annoyed the worker is that he being called to go deal with a prisoner and he is awoken from his sleep. The problem I kid of faced was getting the elevator to close at the right moment.

This is also a medium shot of Chris sleeping as the security guard instead of watching what is happening down in the prison court yard, in this scene Chris is going to be woken up and he will start complaining about everything going on. My problem shooting this scene was trying to get Chris to wake up the right way.

Preparing to film

Actors- We should be having some of the lely football players and some close help me out. We will try to get as many people as possible to film with us which is going to be hard but if things get too hard I can just include the lacrosse players.

Costume- I don’t really have any costume to use so we will have an open wear and I don’t really need to get any costume in for the play. We will probably all be in some type of physical activity wear.

Props- We might have a few props being the athletic things but that might not help so I will have to use the props very wisely. We can use some lacrosse sticks for the props but I will have to be very selective.

Location- The location of the filming will be here at lely and this is because everyone will be here during that time and it would much easier to do everything on our field and not anywhere else.

Date/Time - I have no set date and time that I will be doing the project just because everyone will be busy and has their own thing that they will be doing and I don’t want to interfere with any of that.

Scripts- My goal is to have a short dialogue. I will choose to have a short dialogue because I want everything to be easy for everyone and I don’t want to shy people away from helping me make a whole movie by making the scripts too long. The short scripts will also help with the fact it is a prison fight going on and we have to see a lot of action on the film. Again some of the props we are going to use are things around and we will use anything that really fits the movie.

Story board

This storyboard was made to show how the basis on which I will be making the movie, the movie Im making should hopefully follow the storyboard, a few changes wouldn’t hurt but I feel like the storyboard is the perfect way I want the movie to play out.

Brain Storming

I noticed that every of the videos I watched had an interesting music to start it off and that is something I need to do.

Noticed that every video also had the main character exposed like you could tell it was about them.

The graphics used in some of the videos were actually very nice and I liked most of them, that is something I need to keep in consideration.

I have to get some nice camera shots because it made some people video stand out alot which I thought was cool.

Ok I really liked the dare to thrill film opening alot!.

I might need someone to help me out with the camera because I want to try different angles with the camera just like in the videos.

I really need my music to be loud and pop. That will draw a lot of attention to the video

Reason for action movie

The main reason that I decided to go with action movies had to do with how iconic it has become over time. I remember as a little kid I grew up watching the likes of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, James Bond and Etc. The Action movies I watched made me want to become like the characters I saw so a I like any other kid became heavily invested in it. When you watched a lot of these action movies you got that rush and you would always want to do everything like the main character and that was very fun. I watched many different types of action moves for example ones that was highly matured rated and ones that where more pg for example the marvel movies I grew up watching at the time were very pg and the Bet type gangster movies and the bruce lee and jackie chan and jet li movies I grew up watching was very mature. When Iwas a little kid I also grew up watching movies like the Terminator and the one that impressed me the most was the second one. The part of the second one that made me want to watch the movie was in the beginning when Arnold popped out of the big circle and was crouched down naked and then the other robot popped out the same and killed the man to get his clothes. That part of the movie was one of my favorite part and that just got me heavily invested in the movie. The Terminator just made every other action movie after it try to pull of the same thing it was trying to do.A big action movie that also made me want to do action movie was the predator, man that movie was so good. The predator was so good because it was really the first time where i felt that the villain actually going to win, that movie kept me on my feet at all times. To be honest I don’t even know why I was allowed at the time to watch that movie because it was so violent.Action movies are also easy to pull off because u just have to have a main point that u are looking to reach. Action Movies has taken over hollywood and that makes me want to draw ideas from certain ones to make my project even better!. Action movies are also very interesting because you can have the mix of every other genre in the movie and I think that it is very cool, having every other genre as bits in a movie makes it better because it expands your movie and adds more story to what you are trying to make. In general I want to try and see different ideas not just approach one thing, or one dimensional types of movie. To make my movie feel more open I have to try and do more than one story and that will be hard to do but I feel like I can really do it!.
